Help us create a new vision for Shoelace Park and Fort Knox on the Bronx River Greenway - we need to hear from you!

Mathews Nielsen Landscape Architects, P.C. has worked with the Bronx River Alliance, the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation and local communities to develop a master plan for Shoelace Park and Fort Knox-also known as Bronx Park or Bronx River Park - that will enable us to raise resources for future improvements in these parks.

Click on Explore the Park for maps and photos of Shoelace Park and Fort Knox - a one-mile ribbon of parkland along the Bronx River extending from East 233rd Street to Duncomb Avenue in the Williamsbridge section of the North Bronx, just east of the Bronx River Parkway.

We have already started working with a Youth Design Team from the North Bronx. Click on Community for pictures of teenagers and designers from the first "charrette" or workshop at The Learning Tree School. We also convened the first community design charrette on April 7.
